Now if you take the historical books that relate to this particular phase of the history of God’s people, if you take them in order of time, not the order in which they occur in Scriptures, they are Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. And it was a tremendous revelation to me when I realized one day that every one of those persons after whom those books are named was a person who had practiced fasting.
